Position Summary
- Lead end-to-end strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of key internal and external events supporting the Mirum portfolio (e.g., National Meeting, Mid-Year Meeting, Launch Meetings, Circle of Excellence Awards; Tier 1/Tier 2 congresses, advisory boards, exhibit booths, executive dinners, ancillary meetings).

Responsibilities
- Own and lead planning/execution of assigned Commercial Events: project plans, timelines, action plans, communication strategies, deliverables.
- Partner with Commercial and Medical business leads to align event strategy with brand/business plans.
- Lead planning for priority Tier 1/Tier 2 congresses (housing, registration, exhibit/meeting space, ancillary meetings, sponsorships, advertising, technologies, medical education, pre-planning, onsite execution).
- Provide hands-on logistics support for internal/smaller Commercial Events.
- Provide onsite leadership, including pre-event setup and real-time issue resolution; weekend support may be required.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning and ensure stakeholder/vendor alignment on objectives, responsibilities, timelines, deliverables.
- Manage vendor relationships and delivery against scope/timelines.
- Serve as business owner for commercial field exhibits and sponsorships (standards, governance, execution, reporting, continuous improvement).
- Manage budgets and financial processes (estimates, SOWs/contracts, POs, invoices, reconciliation, cross-charges).
- Ensure compliance with applicable HCP, legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Evaluate event effectiveness; drive process/technology/policy improvements; produce pre/post communications, metrics, surveys/debriefs, and budget reconciliation.
- Travel up to 50% (primarily domestic; some international); may include occasional weekends.

Qualifications
- 7+ years event planning experience in biotech/pharma (or agency supporting biopharma), leading complex internal events and major congresses.
- People-management experience (preferred).
- Experience managing major events in the U.S. and internationally.
- Biopharma/commercial event experience with strong understanding of healthcare/convention environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management in a matrix environment.
- Ability to manage multiple events/projects/timelines/budgets with strong attention to detail.
- Results-oriented, solutions-focused; ability to identify trends and introduce innovative ways of working.
- Strong relationship building with internal/external partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Cvent, and Smartsheet (or similar); interest in leveraging event technology.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- CTSM or CMP certification is a plus.
