Summary
The Associate Director, Customer Insights and Engagement contributes to generating actionable customer insights and translating them into strategic recommendations that drive brand performance, customer experience, and commercial impact. Acts as a key partner to marketing, sales, and market access teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute primary and secondary market research plans to identify actionable insights and brand opportunities.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources (e.g., APLD, IQVIA, SHS, Claims, patient chart data, BrandImpact) to inform marketing strategies.
- Present clear, concise insights on market dynamics, competition, and brand performance.
- Support omnichannel engagement strategy by optimizing customer journeys and touchpoints; translate insights into targeting, segmentation, and messaging recommendations.
- Collaborate with AI Forecasting and Centers of Excellence to ensure a unified approach to insights generation.
- Partner with Brand Leads to answer business questions, provide data-based solutions, and support senior leader presentations.
- Identify and lead innovative insight-generation approaches; deploy advanced analytics (AI, machine learning, and other methodologies).
- Serve as a thought leader; represent Customer Insights & Engagement in BU-level forums; champion integration of advanced analytics into business processes.
- Ensure adherence to BMS operating policies and governance standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical analytics or market research.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/PhD preferred.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex primary/secondary/competitive data into actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and consultative partnership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with IQVIA, SHS, and advanced analytics platforms; comfortable in ambiguous environments.
- Strong grasp of market research/marketing science and how functions relate.
