Role Summary
The Associate Director, Corporate Development will source, evaluate, execute and manage alliances for pharmaceutical partnerships across our business units, focusing on out-licensing in Canada, Europe and other developed markets and in-licensing in the US. Reports to the Vice President, Strategic Portfolio Management to support inorganic growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Acting as one of three key 'Contract Implementation Leads' for licensed in/out products, coordinating regular check-ins with Finance, Legal, Commercial, R&D and BD.
- Drive new licensure/partnership transactions to conclusion by quarterbacking due diligence and managing the process through BD, legal and other functions.
- canvasing the market and utilizing events (e.g., DCAT, CPhI) to identify opportunities for licensure or M&A; manage whom we meet and frequency of meetings across business trips.
- Create strategic business intelligence reports tracking competitors across Gx, Biosimilars, and Specialty; assist in managing executive leadership calendars for key industry conferences.
Additional Responsibilities
- Generate/increase access to accounts for field reps and IDN team through partnerships with KOLs at medical systems, academic institutions, and Centers of Excellence.
- Capture customer learnings from Amneal meetings and industry conferences via on-site account calls.
- Plan and manage national and regional disease-state and promotional exhibits/programs to raise brand awareness.
- Deliver initial office-based in-services to larger medical systems as opportunities arise.
- Navigate medical and promotional needs with top customers for upcoming products.
- Schedule appointments/meetings with top customers for Senior Leadership at national conferences.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing or Business) - Required
- Master's degree (MBA) - Preferred
Experience
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical business alliance management
- 8+ years demonstrated success in pharmaceutical partnerships
Skills
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans for existing portfolios and planned new drug launches
- Ability to partner with cross-functional departments to implement promotional plans to achieve annual sales targets
- Experience planning and managing budgets for promotional exhibits and sponsorships
- Strong relationships with national-key opinion leaders and their support staff, preferably in neurology
- Ability to travel to conferences domestically and internationally (up to 50% travel, including weekends/evenings)
- Ability to collaborate with field sales teams on portfolio exhibits nationwide
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
