Position Overview
Associate Director, Commercial Analytics & SFE driving data-informed decision-making across the commercial organization, supporting commercial strategy, field activities, and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain performance reporting platforms and dashboards (sub-national KPIs, region-specific analytics).
- Lead sales force effectiveness (SFE): territory alignment, call planning, HCP segmentation/targeting, reach & frequency analysis, and incentive compensation design/administration.
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics (segmentation, patient journey, HCP targeting, promotional response).
- Manage national brand performance reporting/diagnostics and implement reporting frameworks.
- Support forecasting (demand tracking, brand performance trend analysis).
- Use data sources (IQVIA, Symphony Health, patient-level longitudinal claims) to track patients across treatment journey stages.
- Apply predictive modeling, marketing mix analysis, and promotional response assessment to optimize investments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance) to deliver insights and recommendations.
- Lead data strategy/infrastructure: onboard data sources/vendors; oversee pipelines integrating IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva CRM, specialty pharmacy feeds; establish data governance (quality, access controls, definitions); identify emerging analytics tools/methods.
- Continuously assess market trends and competitive dynamics.
Necessary Skills and Abilities (Required/Preferred)
- Self-starter; handles ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication/presentation; translate complex data for non-technical/executive audiences.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and decision-making.
- Manage external vendors and evaluate proposals.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Advanced Tableau (data visualization/analytics).
- Advanced Veeva CRM and sales force productivity tools.
- Pharmaceutical data source expertise (IQVIA Rx; Symphony Rx) and claims/patient longitudinal data; MMIT preferred.
- SQL, R, or Python required; Tableau/Power BI preferred; Veeva SFE analytics and omnichannel/digital marketing preferred.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field.
- Masterโs preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years client-side biotech/pharma analytics experience.
