Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Process Excellence
- Champion the 1-7-5 planning methodology across on-market IBTs, providing expert guidance on the 7 anchors, Patient Journey, and integration of AI.
- Lead omnichannel and AI adoption and capability-building within the 1-7-5 process; develop resources and best-practice guidance.
- Identify and implement annual improvements to planning processes that increase agility, reduce administrative burden, and accelerate execution.
- Continuously scan the external environment to inform IBTs on market events, competitive dynamics, and healthcare landscape shifts.
- Create AI agents and integrate best practices into 1-7-5 as brand planning assistants.
IBT Enablement & Organizational Capability
- Educate US Area Brand Planning Champions annually on readiness, deliverables, and enterprise-level strategic guidance.
- Onboard and develop new IBT members with process expectations, deliverables, and best practices.
- Ensure seamless transitions within Brand Excellence from Launch phase to drive on-market performance.
- Share and scale best practices across on-market IBTs.
Operational Effectiveness & Innovation
- Analyze operational gaps and develop tools/frameworks/initiatives to improve IBT agility and efficiency.
- Launch enterprise-wide initiatives that enable compliant, effective competition.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional working groups to maximize commercial and MHI collaboration.
Connectivity & Governance
- Partner with International Brand Excellence; represent the US Area on governance decision-making bodies.
- Serve as the single point of contact between on-market IBTs and the Project Manager Team.
- Maintain SharePoint and communication channels for current processes, resources, and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Prior AbbVie brand planning experience required.
- Deep expertise in the 1-7-5 planning process.
- Proven ability to drive process improvement and organizational capability in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical skills synthesizing marketplace trends and external data into actionable insights.
- Track record of inspiring change and influencing without direct management authority.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities across markets and product lifecycle stages.
- Strong project and matrix management; delivers results in cross-functional settings.
