Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts; help healthcare providers identify appropriate patients and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Develop and execute tailored account strategies to drive patient access, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support implementation of brand, reimbursement, and patient support resources.
- Build and maintain trusted, compliant partnerships with clinical, operational, and business leaders.
- Anticipate customer needs; navigate complex access/reimbursement challenges; proactively engage cross-functional partners with timely, customer-centric solutions.
- Monitor healthcare/managed care landscape changes; translate market insights into actionable strategies for continuity of care and business growth.
- Educate customers on access pathways, support programs, and operational resources; route to internal experts as needed.
- Establish care pathways and treatment initiation processes; promote efficient patient onboarding and long-term therapy success.
- Deliver evidence-based clinical discussions to differentiate the brand and support informed treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial partners to remove barriers and enhance customer/patient outcomes.
- Represent Novartis in the rare disease community; build relationships with key opinion leaders.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare (or similar) with large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- 5+ years strategic account management with complex healthcare systems (e.g., AMC, IDN, ACO).
- Demonstrated commercial success and trusted customer partnership building.
- Strong clinical/business/market access acumen (reimbursement, buy-and-bill, healthcare system dynamics).
- Ability to lead through influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building; accountability, strategic thinking, customer focus.
- Reside within territory (or within 100 miles of the border); travel 60–80%; ability to drive/fly; valid driver’s license.

- Sales leadership or enterprise/national account management experience.
- Expertise in reimbursement, market access, and patient access pathways.
