Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, using therapeutic area expertise to help identify appropriate patients and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Develop and execute tailored account strategies that drive patient access and strengthen stakeholder engagement; support implementation of brand, reimbursement, and patient support resources.
- Build and maintain trusted, compliant partnerships with clinical, operational, and business leaders to advance shared goals and improve patient experience.
- Anticipate customer needs; navigate complex access or reimbursement challenges; proactively engage cross-functional partners with timely, customer-centric solutions.
- Monitor changes in healthcare and managed care; translate insights into actionable strategies supporting continuity of care and business growth.
- Educate customers on access pathways, support programs, and operational resources; connect customers to appropriate internal experts.
- Lead efforts to establish care pathways, treatment initiation processes, and best practices that support efficient onboarding and long-term therapy success.
- Deliver evidence-based clinical discussions to differentiate the brand and support informed treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial partners to remove barriers and enhance outcomes.
- Represent Novartis in the rare disease community and build relationships with key opinion leaders.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- 5+ years in strategic account management with complex healthcare systems (e.g., academic medical centers, IDNs, ACOs).
- Proven commercial success; strong clinical/business/market access and reimbursement acumen.
- Ability to lead through influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Exceptional communication/negotiation/relationship-building skills; accountability and customer focus.
- Must live within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:
- Sales leadership or national/enterprise account management experience.
- Expertise in reimbursement, market access, and patient access pathways.
