Core Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract process by drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts.
- Serve as internal-facing counterpart to Account Executive (AE): drive contracting initiatives; implement/negotiation activities; evaluate account performance/segment trends to optimize net sales; balance customer performance with business objectives; identify and execute contracting opportunities meeting profitability and access objectives; support senior leadership business reviews.
- Partner with AE on Customer Account Plans.
- Build relationships with contract decision makers (internal/external) and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., CCE, Finance, Payer Marketing) to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Proactively identify customer value opportunities and recommend actions to AE.
- Interpret legal language to develop Terms & Conditions; identify business risks/exposure with commercial attorneys/internal counsel.
- Use contracting rules/processes to negotiate; coordinate financial/trend/data modeling and internal contract analyses.
- Apply data analytics to draw data-driven conclusions; recommend discounting options using financial modeling/profitability metrics; monitor marketplace trends and regulatory changes.
- Gather/analyze product-level info and guide payer marketing strategy; act as point-person for contracting/compliance analytical platforms (deal modeling/forecasting).
Qualifications (Required)
- BA/BS or equivalent.
- 3+ years in pharmaceutical/healthcare.
- Knowledge of 340B and/or Federal contracting.
- Experience in account management/customer contracting and financial analysis/customer marketing and/or pharmaceutical supply chain.
- Ability to negotiate, execute, implement contracts; deliver on initiatives/deadlines; prioritize in fast-paced environments.
