Your Role
- Serve as a business partner to and support the Clinical Development organization, including clinical operations, regulatory, and CMC teams
- Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements, including clinical trial site agreements, licensing agreements, MSAs, SOWs, and change orders with CROs, manufacturing and other supply chain vendors, service providers, etc.
- Support clinical trial start up and maintenance, including review of patient informed consent forms, HIPAA authorizations, and other trial-related materials
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to advise SVP, General Counsel, and Clinical Development teams on legal and regulatory compliance and risk management
- Advise on commercialization considerations, including guidance for marketing and promotional materials to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations
- Partner with Legal, IP, Privacy, and Compliance colleagues on special projects and committees
- Direct external legal counsel work to ensure appropriate service/quality and contain costs
- Join the Legal/Contracts team to manage delivery of legal services

Required
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; admission to a U.S. state bar; minimum 5 years of post-graduate legal experience
- Significant experience drafting corporate and commercial agreements (including clinical trial site agreements, CRO agreements, manufacturing/supply chain agreements, and licensing agreements)
- Proven end-to-end transactional and negotiation partnering skills; practical, timely, solution-oriented advice to close contracts favorably
- Ability to triage multiple workflows, set priorities/expectations, and deliver pragmatic, risk-balanced results with strong attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional business relationships; identify legal issues and propose solutions while mitigating risk

Preferred
- Experience in a life science company (commercial stage) or preparing for first commercial launch
