Role Summary

Associate Surgical Account Executive at MIMEDX. Responsible for assisting in managing sales and marketing activity within the assigned market to develop new accounts, maintain or expand existing accounts, and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a limited number of assigned accounts and contract sales agents under the mentorship of a senior manager; no direct reports
  • Assist in planning, development, and execution of key account strategies and business plans; identify high-use physicians and build key metro area accounts
  • Develop systems and procedures for key accounts to ensure ease of product use, best patient outcomes, and positive customer experience
  • Work with local contract sales agents and resources to meet or exceed sales plan objectives
  • Research, analyze, and monitor market-specific sales factors to capitalize on opportunities and maintain competitive edge
  • Foster a goal-oriented environment emphasizing performance, accountability, teamwork, credibility, and success
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Provide support to the local sales team, fielding questions, supplying approved materials, and participating in calls/meetings
  • Coordinate sales activities with assigned accounts as a liaison between local sales team and contract sales agents to ensure unified approach and accurate commissions
  • Assist in recruiting and training new/existing contract sales agents to build product expertise


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related discipline
  • 2-5 years of related experience with 1-3 years progressive responsibilities, or demonstrated ability
  • MS/MA with 1-3 years of related experience; certification may be required in some areas
  • Preferred: 1-2 years in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry; experience in high-growth organizations and brand development; proven revenue growth track record


Skills

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with a customer service focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Organized, flexible, able to multi-task with high attention to detail
  • Ability to influence others through tenacity and diplomacy
  • Strong analytical, strategic and tactical problem-solving skills; strong quantitative analysis
  • Strategic prospecting and active listening
  • Effective presentation, negotiating, and relationship-building skills


Education

  • BS/BA or MS/MA in related field


Additional Requirements

  • Work environment primarily field-based; travel 30-40% of the time
