Role Summary

Associate Surgical Account Executive at MIMEDX. Responsible for assisting in managing sales and marketing activity within an assigned market to develop new accounts and expand existing ones; execute sales strategy and market penetration initiatives; support in strategies to increase market share within targeted therapeutic specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a limited number of assigned accounts and contract sales agents under the mentorship of a senior manager.
  • Assist in planning, development, and execution of key account strategies and business plans; identify high-use physicians and build key metro area accounts.
  • Develop systems and procedures for key accounts to ensure ease of product use, best patient outcomes, and positive customer experience.
  • Work with local contract sales agents and resources to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor market-specific sales factors to capitalize on opportunities and maintain competitive edge and growth.
  • Maintain a goal-oriented environment emphasizing performance, accountability, teamwork, credibility, and success.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and standards.
  • Provide support to the local sales team, including fielding questions, providing approved materials, and participating in calls and meetings.
  • Coordinate sales activities with assigned accounts to ensure unified approach and accurate commission payments.
  • Assist in recruiting new contract sales agents and manage training for new/existing agents to build product expertise.

Qualifications

  • Required: BS/BA in related discipline; 2-5 years of related experience with 1-3 years at progressive levels, or verifiable ability.
  • Preferred: MS/MA and 1-3 years in related field; certification in some areas; 1-2 years in medical device or pharmaceutical industry; experience in high-growth organizations and developing brands; proven revenue growth track record.

Skills

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication; customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Organized, flexible, multi-tasking with attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence others with tenacity and diplomacy.
  • Strong analytical, strategic/tactical analysis, problem-solving; quantitative analysis skills.
  • Strategic prospecting, active listening; effective presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building.

Education

  • BS/BA in related discipline; or MS/MA with relevant experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Work environment: Field setting; travel 30-40% of the time.
