Location: West & Mountain Territory (must reside in PST or MST)
Area Sales Director (ASD)
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of District Sales Managers (DSMs); indirectly influence an Area (East or West) sales team.
- Lead, motivate, and direct the team; ensure training in product knowledge, market conditions, market access, brand strategy/tactics, corporate policies, and targeted business planning.
- Design and implement short- and long-term business plans to achieve commercial objectives and drive revenue with targeted accounts.
- Contribute to national sales strategies and ensure field execution to exceed revenue and market share goals.
- Monitor launch KPIs and performance metrics; identify opportunities and implement corrective actions to maximize velocity and market penetration.
- Model a culture of performance and accountability using data-driven tools and differentiated sales enablement.
- Manage and evaluate field performance; provide coaching, guidance, follow-up, and development.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelorโs Degree from an accredited college/university.
- 10+ years of management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; ability to develop/motivate others and deliver objectives.
- 2nd-line sales leader experience (leading leaders).
- Experience leading through growth, change, and launch-related complexity.
- Cross-functional experience preferred: Sales Training, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial Operations.
- Proven success in competitive/evolving/startup commercial environments.
- Ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-quality team.
- Product launch and sales force build-out experience preferred.
- Allergy/respiratory/immunology experience preferred.
- Sound judgment, strategic decision-making, strong interpersonal skills with KOLs, results-driven with metrics focus.
- Strong organizational/analytical skills for project planning and cross-functional team management.
- Valid driverโs license; ~50% overnight travel.
