Role Summary

Area Sales Director (Great Lakes) will develop and implement strategic plans for the area, recruit and develop a high-quality Clinical Specialists and Institutional Specialists, and manage area operations including revenue and expenses to meet Indivior objectives. The role requires leadership, coaching, and regular communication with field teams and home office to achieve area goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Indivior goals/results for the assigned area (sales, market share, targeted calls).
  • Manage expenses and profitability, monitor ROI.
  • Participate in and contribute to business objectives.
  • Develop and implement business plans, strategies, marketing plans of action, and budgetary control in compliance with Indivior policies.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor Clinical Specialists’ and Institutional Specialists’ assignments and activities, providing ongoing feedback.
  • Plan and conduct required meetings with area members.
  • Collaborate with National Sales Directors and HR to reduce turnover and vacancies.
  • Implement and monitor field-based training.
  • Conduct routine field visits with specialists; coach to improve selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Develop sales team in the area; provide career development planning.
  • Maintain technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
  • Respond to changing conditions to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ensure storage of company equipment/records and promotional material per policies.
  • Adhere to Fleet policies for self and team.
  • Overnight travel as required.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: BS/BA degree; advanced degree a plus; 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare or related experience.
  • 3+ years in a people manager role (preferred).
  • Relative experience in related disease space; injectable experience preferred; specialty pharmacy and distributor experience preferred.
  • Experience selling complex specialty and buy-and-bill products (preferred).
  • Experience selling a drug, device, or technology requiring protocol changes (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Computer proficient.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • BS/BA degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for long periods.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs as necessary.
  • Travel long distances by car or other modes.

Travel

  • Domestic and international travel as required; overnights as required >50%
