Main Responsibilities:
- Engage pulmonary customers in assigned territory and deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, and grow brand-share and revenue, consistently meeting asthma indication product goals.
- Collaborate with key field stakeholders (e.g., Medical Science Liaisons, Field Reimbursement/Market Access, Thought Leader Liaisons) to address customer needs, identify market trends, develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives, and ensure account success.
- Build relationships with pulmonary experts and relevant healthcare personnel and patient advocacy support groups as directed.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategic business plans to drive product utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize allocated territory budget to support strategies/tactics and generate/grow business.
- Participate in and help lead sales success initiatives (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Own business opportunities including calling on large group practices and other key targets to drive product results.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders in assigned territory.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (accredited four-year college/university).
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience.
- Ability to learn/apply technical and scientific product information.
- Ability to travel as necessary within assigned territory.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Team player who collaborates to reach common goals.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years selling subcutaneous self-injectable (or office-administered IV) biologics.
- 2 years pulmonary disease or immunology disorder selling (e.g., Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis) strongly preferred.
- 2 years calling on Pulmonologists.
- Co-promotion experience; advanced clinically based selling skills; experience with product launches.
- In-servicing/training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Passion for science; proactive learning about disease state/treatment trends.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.
