Main Responsibilities
- Engage Pulmonary customers within assigned territory and deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue, and consistently deliver product goals for the asthma indication.
- Collaborate with field-based stakeholders (e.g., sales counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Reimbursement/Market Access, Thought Leader Liaisons) to address customer needs, identify market dynamics/trends, develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives, and ensure account success.
- Develop strong relationships with pulmonary experts and other healthcare personnel, as directed.
- Identify key opportunities and develop strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs/activities.
- Maximize allocated territory budget to support strategy execution and generate/grow business.
- Participate in and help lead sales success initiatives (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Own business opportunities in the geographic area, including coordination/calling on large group practices and key targets.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders in assigned territory.
Qualifications / Required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical/scientific product information.
- Ability to travel to meetings/training/programs as necessary (additional travel may be required within territory).
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Ability to operate as a team player.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred
- 2 years selling subcutaneous self-injectable (or office-administered IV) biologics.
- 2 years selling experience in pulmonary disease or immunology disorders (e.g., atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis).
- 2 years calling on Pulmonologists.
- Co-promotion experience.
- Advanced clinically based selling skills; results with product launches.
- Experience in-servicing/training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.
