Position Summary:
Area Business Manager (promote FDA-approved Rett syndrome treatment; own and execute territory strategy, analyze market insights, and build cross-functional partnerships in a rare disease landscape).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Report to the Regional Business Leader.
- Build trusted relationships with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain relationships with target HCPs to enhance awareness (including safety/efficacy).
- Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information.
- Strategically plan and execute territory business plans to exceed goals (call activity, adherence, financial objectives).
- Cultivate KOL and stakeholder relationships.
- Address customer concerns quickly; collaborate internally to resolve issues.
- Analyze sales potential and optimize outreach within budget/compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patients/providers.
- Participate in patient advocacy events, conferences, training sessions.
- Stay current on market trends and product/therapeutic area knowledge.
- Guide customers on pricing and access; act as liaison to internal teams.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and compliance; pursue development.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferred life sciences).
- Area Business Manager: 3+ years pharmaceutical sales; 1+ year specialty sales (rare diseases emphasis).
- Sr. Area Business Manager: 8+ years pharmaceutical sales; 5+ years specialty sales (rare diseases emphasis).
- Preferred: specialty sales experience in rare diseases/CNS-neurology/pediatric neurology; specialty distribution/access familiarity.
- Advanced selling/dialogue skills; relationship-building with KOLs/Centers of Excellence/multidisciplinary teams.
- Cross-functional ability to execute actionable business plans ensuring patient access.
- Strong organization, communication, interpersonal skills; self-motivated.
- Must live within territory; valid driver’s license; willingness to travel extensively (overnight, air travel).
- Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG.
