Main Responsibilities
- Engage Gastroenterology customers in assigned territory with clinically focused selling to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue; consistently deliver product goals for Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE).
- Collaborate with field stakeholders (Medical Science Liaisons, Field Reimbursement/Market Access, Medical counterparts, Thought Leader Liaisons, etc.) to address customer needs, identify market dynamics/trends, develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives, and ensure account success.
- Build relationships with gastroenterology experts, biologic coordinators, office staff, healthcare personnel, and patient advocacy support groups.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategic business plans to drive utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize territory budget to execute strategies/tactics and generate/grow business.
- Participate in/lead sales success initiatives (industry congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Own business opportunities in the territory, including coordination/calling on private equity/large group practices and key targets.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders; drive industry-leading customer value.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (accredited four-year college/university).
- 2+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience (or relevant business/healthcare experience).
- Ability to learn/apply technical and scientific product information.
- Ability to travel as necessary; valid Driver’s License.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments while complying with integrity/compliance guidelines.
- Team-player mindset with collaboration partners to reach common goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable (or office-administered IV) biologics.
- 2+ years gastroenterology or immunology disorder selling (e.g., asthma, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, MS, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis).
- Advanced clinically based selling; results with product launches.
- Strong reimbursement/Managed Markets pull-through knowledge.
- Specialty care/biologics launch experience; alliance/matrix partnership experience.
- In-servicing/training office staff (nurses, biologic coordinators, office managers).
- Passion for science; proactive learning; strong organization and account management skills.
- Complete fleet safety training and maintain acceptable driving record.
