The Opportunity
- Field-based role in the East region.
- Area Business Manager (ABM) within Field Sales (one for each Sales area).
What Youβll Do
- Maintain a consistent, on-the-ground presence across the assigned area.
- Lead TSS-only intel calls; deep-dive into accounts and prescribers to surface account-level detail.
- Track and analyze new patients written within the assigned area.
- Collect and synthesize field insights, including competitive intelligence, account dynamics, and emerging trends (e.g., drug shortages and ordering/scheduling impact; competitor counter-detailing by center/HCP; grant activity and patient access; emerging clinical/safety patterns).
- Roll insight to senior leadership through a single, standardized channel.
- Respond to field needs assessments to resolve area-level requests/issues across functions.
- Gather/share data on HCP targeting and disseminate best practices across specialty areas.
- Lead structured training calls with the Training Manager to keep Therapeutic Sales Specialists up to date.
- Serve as an interim resource for Regional Sales Directors and reps on complex accounts.
- Individual contributor role (no direct reports).
Who You Are
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical industry field sales, sales leadership, or field-facing commercial roles; rare disease, specialty, or cardiology preferred.
- BS/BA required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and translate observations into actionable insight.
- Strong analytical, communication, and synthesis skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously across a large geography; influence without direct authority.
- Adherence to high ethical standards and applicable compliance requirements.
- Willingness to travel extensively (50%+), including evenings/weekends as needed.
