The Opportunity
- Create and fill four new Area Business Manager (ABM) roles within Field Sales (one for each Sales area).
- Reporting to the Area Sales Director (ASD), the ABM serves as a sustained on-the-ground extension of the field, building relationships and surfacing insights for senior leadership.
What Youβll Do
- Maintain consistent, on-the-ground presence across the assigned area.
- Lead TSS-only intel calls; deep-dive into accounts and prescribers to surface account-level detail.
- Track and analyze new patients written in the assigned area.
- Collect and synthesize field insights, including competitive intelligence, account dynamics, and emerging trends (e.g., drug shortages and ordering/scheduling impacts; competitor counter-detailing by center/HCP; grant activity and patient access; emerging clinical/safety patterns).
- Roll insight up to senior leadership through a standardized, consistent channel.
- Respond to field needs assessments to resolve area-level requests/issues across functions.
- Gather and share HCP targeting data; disseminate best practices across specialty areas.
- Lead structured training calls with the Training Manager.
- Serve as interim resource for Regional Sales Directors and support reps on complex accounts.
- Individual contributor; no direct reports.

- West region (field-based).
Who You Are
- 8+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in field sales/sales leadership/field-facing commercial roles; rare disease, specialty, or cardiology preferred.
- BS/BA required; MBA/equivalent preferred.
- Track record building trusted field relationships and translating observations into actionable insight.
- Strong analytical skills and trend tracking.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; can synthesize complex intelligence into standardized updates.
- High autonomy across a large geography.
- Ability to influence without direct authority; cross-functional collaboration.
- Adherence to ethical standards and applicable compliance requirements.
- Ability to travel extensively (50%+), including evenings/weekends as needed.
