Position Summary
- Cultivate and maintain a direct customer-facing presence with gastroenterology healthcare providers and office/clinic staff; help advance patient care with novel mechanism medicines.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives.
- Deliver favorable results through accountability, collaboration, compliance, and teamwork.
- Establish and implement an effective sales plan that meets (ideally exceeds) sales goals and corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with ABD peers to optimize product opportunities with large gastroenterology group practices.
- Partner with Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access to share territory dynamics and best practices.
- Master clinical data, disease state knowledge, competitive products, and market access to drive relevant messaging.
- Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company compliance policies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry sales experience.
- Specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience (gastroenterology preferred).
- Proven success achieving and/or outperforming sales goals.
- Product launch experience.
- Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in competitive markets.
- Ability to engage customers based on their needs and experience.
- Knowledge of laws/regulations for selling and marketing pharmaceutical products to physicians and healthcare organizations.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Strong clinical/scientific acumen to influence healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
- Gastroenterology relationships/knowledge and local patient advocacy group relationships are a plus.
- Ability to analyze sales data and KPIs to identify opportunities.
- Integrity, honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Prior sales management experience is a plus.
- Bachelorβs degree.
Work Environment
- Field-based; reports to a Zone Director; up to 40% travel.
