Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales objectives.
- Ensure accountability, collaboration, compliance, and teamwork to deliver favorable results to healthcare professionals, their patients, and the company.
- Establish and implement an effective sales plan that meets (ideally exceeds) sales goals and corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with peer Area Business Directors to optimize product opportunities with large gastroenterology group practices via coordination and information sharing.
- Work with Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access to share territory insights and best practices to optimize product and company success.
- Master clinical data, disease state knowledge, competitive products, and market access information to drive relevant messaging.
- Ensure all activities comply with laws, regulations, and company compliance policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry sales experience.
- Specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience; gastroenterology preferred.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and/or outperforming sales goals.
- Product launch experience.
- Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in competitive markets.
- Ability to engage customers focused on their needs and experience.
- Knowledge of laws/regulations for selling/marketing pharmaceutical products to physicians and healthcare organizations.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Strong clinical and scientific acumen to influence healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
- Relationships with gastroenterology HCPs, their office/clinic staff, and local patient advocacy groups (plus).
- Ability to analyze sales data and key performance metrics.
- Integrity, honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Prior sales management experience (plus).
- Bachelorβs degree.
