Field-based role for candidates living within reasonable distance of the primary city (regions listed: Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Tucson, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK).

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Geography “Quarterback” for the assigned region; set market access direction and serve as principal liaison for top-tier customers.
- Develop and implement local market access strategies; use influence mapping to identify key access influencers (e.g., PBMs, employers, payers, IDNs) and tailor engagement plans.
- Support Area Access Director with direct customer contracting and negotiation; ensure alignment with Area Market Access (MAx) strategy and goals.
- Manage ongoing customer relationships, resolve issues, ensure timely solution pull-through, and keep Area Directors informed of escalations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Centers of Excellence, Area Directors/Strategists, FRMs, MOSLs, Patient Support Services) to streamline pull-through.
- Identify regional growth opportunities; stay current on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Monitor and report KPIs; use data analytics (e.g., MABI) to assess contract effectiveness and refine performance.

Significant Work Activities:
- Continuous sitting >2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day.
- Located within region (ideally near a large airport); required travel to regional on-site customers and 3–4 trips to AbbVie’s Chicago HQ.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 5+ years sales management (District/Regional Manager preferred).
- Account management and/or marketing experience in healthcare.
- 2+ years account management in Group Practice/Payor/Institutional environment (strongly preferred).
- Proven success influencing diverse stakeholders in complex geographies.
- Contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Strong communication/collaboration skills to manage cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.).
- Knowledge of payer landscapes/policies and key customer types (IDNs, VISNs, Employers).
- Data analytics proficiency.
- Solutions-oriented attitude in dynamic environments.
