Analyst, North America Customs and Trade Compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Customs & Trade with analytics, including analytical data gathering and support for the Customs Classification database, import data logs, metrics, risk assessment, prior disclosures, and special projects
- Compile and analyze data to support valuation adjustments, reconciliation activities, and routine compliance reporting
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of import/export documentation; coordinate with internal stakeholders during audits or information requests
- Use advanced Excel functions, SharePoint workflows, and Power BI dashboards to enhance reporting, data visualization, and process tracking/automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and support implementation of innovative solutions for compliance efficiency
- Provide day-to-day operational support tasks to support customs and trade compliance initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.A./B.S. in a related field
- 2β5 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, or a related field (pharmaceutical or regulated industry preferred)
- Understanding of basic U.S. import/export regulations, Foreign Trade Zone operations, and Department of Transportation requirements
- Experience working with brokers and/or internal stakeholders or compliance-related functions (preferred)
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs laws and regulations and U.S. Foreign Trade Zone laws and regulations (preferred)
