Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead teams to deliver large programs of at least $400M USD or more in capital assets and/or business-critical projects; deliver from front-end planning (conceptual design) in Brownfield or Greenfield sites through operational qualification (cradle to grave), ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance from corporate headquarters; maintain effective communication with GFD leadership, project team, governance teams, business partners, and stakeholders; facilitate issue resolution; anticipate scope changes; implement safely with quality, speed, and value.
- Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured approach to project management aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field (or related to project management) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of capital project delivery experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside of home state/country.
Additional Preferences
- Experience on projects or multiple projects > $100MM.
- Pharma manufacturing experience.
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Pharma capital project management experience in bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, and devices (and to a lesser extent lab projects).
- Experience with GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, and scheduling.
- Ability to achieve results and influence through people; work from long distances with little supervision; good judgment decision-making without needing management approval while keeping management informed.
- Effective written and verbal communication; influence without direct administrative responsibility.
- Foreign language(s) competency.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent; PMP certification.
- Experience in working and/or living outside the U.S.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and being an agent for change.
Compensation/Benefits
- Anticipated wage: $129,000 - $209,000.
- Full-time employees may be eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance).
