Responsibilities:
- Maximize opportunities for the product portfolio in a single-layer geography by building strategic relationships with hospitals, IDNs, academic institutions, outpatient accounts, LTC facilities, government accounts, and specialty private practice.
- Advance customers along the sales continuum; deliver on-label presentations and sales calls to address benefits/risks and achieve sales goals.
- Develop relationships and differentiate the Anti-Infective portfolio value proposition across account stakeholders.
- Problem-solve product and patient flow across Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distribution, and Buy and Bill channels; coordinate stakeholders for patient-focused solutions.
- Create and execute strategic geography business plans; target key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Source and use account data to maintain account profiles/relationship maps; expand physician usage and customer base.
- Attend HCP meetings/venues; represent AbbVie products and communicate on-label information internally.
- Complete required training and follow all company policies/procedures.
- Maintain HCIR credentialing to access assigned facilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (including MSLs, National Director of Accounts, Key Account Directors) to develop compliant communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree (health/sciences/pharmacy/business) preferred; or equivalent experience: 5+ years with 3+ years in pharma/health/science preferred (HS diploma/GED minimum).
- Account-based selling experience in hospitals/wound care/infusion; ability to navigate matrix environments/complex customers (e.g., IDNs, academic institutions).
- Knowledge of formulary approval process; Buy and Bill and specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
- Demonstrated sales performance; advanced sales skills and ability to present complex information simply.
- Strong planning/organization, facilitation, business acumen, and problem-solving.
- Ability to fully cover assigned geography; influence and lead in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen; drive personal/company vehicle and travel (including overnight) as needed.
Preferred:
- Track record of success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience (physician/account selling, training, managed care, or marketing); English proficiency for non-English-speaking countries.
