Account Manager/Specialty Account Manager, IgG4-RD

Responsibilities (What you will do)
- Represent Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals; establish product sales; perform total territory account management.
- Provide disease information and education to medical professionals and external customers involved in patient care.
- Consistently achieve assigned sales objectives by promoting patient-centered disease and product education to HCPs while adhering to corporate compliance guidelines.
- Implement goals of the marketing plan via strategic account business plan execution.
- Work effectively in a matrix environment (e.g., Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient access team, and other stakeholders).
- Use available resources/programs (e.g., peer-to-peer education and cross-functional partners) to address knowledge gaps.
- Identify opportunities across healthcare landscape (academic institutions, IDNs, ACOs, private practices, community hospital systems).
- Build productive relationships with KOLs within the geographic coverage area and assigned therapeutic areas.
- Maintain in-depth disease/therapeutic scientific and clinical knowledge.
- Use a consultative, highly technical, solution-oriented selling approach for IgG4-RD.
- Execute with strong adherence to compliance/corporate policies, including documentation and reporting.

Qualifications
- Basic (Account Manager – Level 4): Bachelor’s + 3 years sales OR Associate + 6 years OR HS/GED + 8 years (pharma/biotech/medical device or hospital sales).
- Basic (Specialty Account Manager – Level 5): Doctorate + 2 years collective account management/sales/commercial OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Associate + 10 years.

Preferred
- Bachelor’s; graduate business/healthcare degree preferred.
- 7+ years biotech/specialty/rare disease sales; 3+ years rare disease/orphan; ultra-orphan and rare disease launch preferred.
- Immunology/Rheumatology/Gastroenterology experience preferred.
- 3+ years in-office injection/infusion sales requiring extensive patient access coordination.
- Matrix selling experience with patient services, market access, medical affairs, reimbursement; strong patient centricity.
- Strong communication, organization/analytical/computer skills (incl. Microsoft Office), independence; 20–30% travel.
