Key responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and grow the Great Plains territory (Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota), ensuring LTC residents have access to promoted products through compliant engagement with long-term care prescribers, pharmacists, and nursing facility decision makers/staff.
- Develop customer insights and relationships to increase awareness and appropriate use/access of promoted products and improve product availability in LTC facilities.
- Use account management strategies to meet the needs of the LTC resident care team (PharmD, MD/NP/PA, LPN/RN).
- Educate physicians, mid-level practitioners, consultant pharmacists, and nursing facility clinical/management staff on appropriate use of company products.
- Build relationships with LTC customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs); gain consistent access to healthcare provider touchpoints.
- Use sales aids/materials per training; tailor resources to customer needs.
- Identify/investigate customer concerns and coordinate timely resolution.
- Provide guidance on acquisition of products.
- Execute territory plans (calls, reach, frequency, business meals, speaker programs) within budgets/policy; submit reports and maintain expense records.
- Analyze and adjust quarterly business/action plans; collaborate with internal teams; attend LTC conferences/trainings/exhibits/launches; remain compliant; perform other assigned duties.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent) and 8 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; life sciences emphasis preferred; LTC sales preferred.
- Territory business management experience (budgeting, action planning, routing, call activity, programming).
- Experience driving pull-through of products with restricted coverage access.
- Ability to manage relationships across LTC stakeholders (nursing facilities, physicians, mid-levels, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacy staff, administrators/Directors of Nursing, Medical Directors, and KOLs).
- Advanced selling skills and effective dialogue with customers.
- English speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing proficiency.
