Summary
- Account Manager responsible for positioning and selling the Pacira portfolio within an assigned territory, including pharmacological/technical knowledge and sales of value proposition. Works with Regional Director to develop business plan to exceed defined sales revenues.
Responsibilities
- Identify target markets using account-based operations, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Exceed corporate revenue objectives within specified geography.
- Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, healthcare providers, and pharmacy to drive adoption of Pacira products within accounts/territory.
- Develop and maintain expertise of all products.
- Manage time effectively to increase sales productivity and execute tactical sales activities.
- Participate with Regional Director in strategic and tactical planning.
- Update and document sales account information in Veeva.
- Demonstrate expertise of conversion process in hospital, ASC, or office.
- Develop and execute sales and retention strategies.
- Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with physicians, schedulers, practice managers, and medical staff to close business and minimize obstacles.
- Manage territory and conduct office visits (education, services, enhancements, new advances).
- Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to leadership in a timely manner.
- Manage expense budgets.
- Stay current on clinical data and present/interprete it with health professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree required.
- 1+ year of direct selling experience to hospitals and healthcare professionals in pharmaceutical/biotech/device/health care.
- 1+ year selling in the OR preferred.
- Excellent written/oral English communication; strong presentation skills.
- Ability to complete hospital credentialing requirements timely.
- Experience using CRM tools required.
- Ability to travel extensively; valid driverโs license, safe driving record, reliable transportation.
- Must live in or near designated territory.
- Knowledge of industry business drivers, emerging trends, and performance metrics.
- Strong interpersonal/collaborative/analytical skills; customer-focused relationship building.
- Independently motivated; seeks continuous improvement.
- Sales effectiveness discipline: goal setting, prospecting, networking, territory and time management.
- Account management, needs assessment, value propositioning; handle objections; secure agreement with physicians and procurement.
- Proficiency with MS Office and relevant mobile/web applications.
