Job Purpose
- The Account Executive drives sales and expands the reach of Bio-Techneโ€™s Spatial Biology product line within an assigned territory, providing solutions to visualize, characterize, and quantify tissue transcriptomic profiles.

Responsibilities
- Performance Indicators:
- Attain quota against territory revenue target.
- Acquire new customers (new PIs, labs, and accounts) and maintain pipeline coverage ratio.
- Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accuracy, and activity metrics.
- Territory Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account-specific sales plans.
- Conduct pre-call planning and research on institution, lab, and stakeholders.
- Spend appropriate time in the field, weighted to highest revenue potential accounts.
- Prospecting and Pipeline Generation:
- Prospect and generate customer leads (field visits, calls, email, trade shows).
- Qualify inbound leads with internal partners and convert to active pipeline.
- Forecast accurately; maintain Salesforce.com records; manage sales cycle to close.
- Scientific Selling and Customer Engagement:
- Deliver technical presentations on Spatial Biology products.
- Consult with customers on applications and match solutions to workflows.
- Build relationships at bench, lab-head, and department levels.
- Use scientific knowledge to support consultative sales.
- Brand and Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Represent the Spatial brand effectively.
- Partner with Field Application Scientists, Marketing, Customer Service, and Product Management.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Molecular Biology or related life science.
- Experience: 1+ year field-based life science sales; academic/government/biotech/pharma experience preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of RNA sequencing, transcriptomics, in situ hybridization; strong communication; detail-oriented; ability to multi-task; CRM proficiency (Salesforce.com or similar).

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Primarily field-based; regular travel within territory (up to 60%), occasional evenings/weekends; remote flexibility as needed.
- Ability to transport/set up demonstration materials and extended standing/walking during visits/events.
