Job Description (PD Account Executive - Field-based)
Role Responsibilities:
- Maximize business opportunities with approved on-market Parkinson’s products (drug-device combination) to achieve sales plan/quota.
- Develop and maintain strategic, compliant relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advance Practice Providers, HCPs, nurses, and executive/department personnel.
- Provide on-label technical/scientific presentations using approved data to highlight benefits/risks and address therapeutic gaps.
- Create, implement, and communicate strategic/tactical account plans; monitor/report sales progress; communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in assigned geography.
- Attend local neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events (including evenings/weekends) per OEC/Legal guidance.
- Develop territory account plans and align resources to support execution; adjust strategies as needed.
- Stay current on clinical, market, and payer developments specific to Parkinson’s Disease.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination).
- Represent AbbVie with HCP and Patient Organizations in Parkinson’s/Neuroscience.
- Drive personal or company vehicle and/or powered material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in health sciences/pharmacy/business (preferred) or equivalent experience; minimum 2 years sales/account management.
- 3+ years health science field or sales with at least 2 years pharmaceutical sales; or 8+ years health science sales with at least 4 years pharmaceutical sales.
- Ability to network/partner across functional areas; strong organizational/project management and leadership.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
