Position Summary:
Develop and implement strategies to increase market share by identifying targeted commercial and/or government physician practices, hospitals, wound care clinics, medical centers, surgical centers, and related entities within the assigned territory. Promote and sell the companyβs products and tissues by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth and achieve defined sales performance goals for products and tissue offerings.
- Identify, define, and execute market opportunities; implement marketing strategies and sales plans; achieve revenue growth across all customer accounts and sales channels within the assigned territory.
- Select presentation content from company-approved resources; conduct large group and individual presentations to customers and prospects.
- Research and resolve reimbursement issues within established policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the reimbursement team to support physicians prescribing products and their billing departments.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting, tracking of sales activities, and territory sales forecasts.
- Maintain awareness of industry activities, updates, and local market knowledge.
- Use scientific medical studies to educate customers and prospects on product/tissue properties, results, and outcomes.
- Define and establish territory plans to meet current and long-term revenue and sales goals.
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in related discipline; 2β5 years related experience with 1β3 years progressive responsibility (or verifiable ability).
- OR MS/MA with 1β3 years related experience (certification required in some areas).
- Prefer 3β4 years in medical device, biotechnology, and tissue segments of healthcare; experience in high-growth organizations.
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoints, etc.).
- Ability to interact with all management levels; influence using tenacity and diplomacy.
- Organized, flexible, able to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, strategic/technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical/scientific data to physicians.
- Proven sales results and recognition; history of achieving/exceeding objectives.
- Strategic selling and market analytics skills.
- Ability to build a network with healthcare providers.
Work Environment:
- Work at customer/clinical sites and/or home office; comply with customer dress code/credentialing and maintain up-to-date vaccines. Regular local and/or long-distance travel within the territory.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $84,000β$102,000 plus commissions.
