Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as key contact/lead for access and reimbursement support; act as local market access expert on payer policy coverage, acquisition pathways, billing/coding, claims processing, reimbursement, and integrating manufacturer support programs into account workflows.
- Educate providers/staff face-to-face on product-specific programs; support integration into office processes.
- Analyze and solve access/reimbursement issues related to payer policies (utilization management, denials, appeals), drug acquisition/inventory, and patient/practice reimbursement (co-pay, administration, drug claims); identify trends locally/regionally/nationally.
- Partner with Patient Support Center (hub) for case management, tracking, issue resolution, reimbursement support, and staff education; review patient-specific info when requested and available.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with NPC field associates and internal teams (e.g., Customer Engagement, Market Access, Patient Support Center, Marketing, Public Affairs, State & Government Affairs, Trade, Specialty Pharmacy Account Management).
- Handle Patient Identifiable Information (PII) appropriately and comply with HIPAA and internal privacy/compliance guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; business/biological science preferred; advanced degree preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience in third-party reimbursement or pharmaceutical industry (managed care, clinical support, or sales).
- Experience with specialty pharmacy products (specialty networks/distributors; buy-and-bill).
- Experience with coding, billing, and office support programs.
- Prior account management or complex accounts experience (payer landscape, high volume, large systems).
- Knowledge of managed care/government/federal payers and IDN/integrated health systems.
- Reside within territory or within 60 miles; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualification:
- Buy-and-bill experience supporting reimbursement/access for provider-administered therapies.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary range: $138,600–$257,400/year; performance cash incentive; potential annual equity.

Additional Role Requirement:
- Driving is essential; must have an unrestricted driver’s license.

Training:
- Complete initial training (including home study) with limits of ≤8 hours/day and ≤40 hours/week.
