Position Summary:
Director, Access & Reimbursement (DAR) leads and coaches a team of Access & Reimbursement Managers responsible for access/fulfillment for nephrology provider accounts and execution of the patient access field reimbursement strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, develop, and lead a field access/reimbursement team.
- Enable providers, patients, and caregivers with information/tools to start and stay on therapy.
- Use KPIs/analytics to optimize field execution; create strategic plans and manage execution.
- Build regional vision and culture; motivate performance and achieve goals.
- Provide coaching, performance management, training, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and address access/fulfillment obstacles (benefit, specialty pharmacy, REMS); expedite patient access.
- Develop regional access & reimbursement business plan; be expert on product access/reimbursement and train the team.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration and communication (Field Sales, Patient Experience, Specialty Pharmacy, Market Access, payer account team).
- Maintain communication cadence across ARMs, hub services, REMS, specialty pharmacy, and payer team; spend time in field/virtual calls for issue resolution.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination).
- 10+ years pharma/biotech; specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, REMS preferred.
- 5+ years specialty medicines access/reimbursement landscape (HUBs, payers, specialty pharmacies).
- 3+ years field reimbursement manager.
- 3+ years first-line people leadership with coaching/capability development.

Required/Preferred Skills (selected):
- Expertise in commercial/private and government reimbursement (Medicare Part D, VA, etc.).
- Experience with benefit verification, prior auth, appeals/denials, letters of medical necessity, pre-determination.
- Strong communication, organization, virtual issue resolution, and relationship-building.
