Description Overview
- Responsible for maintenance/troubleshooting/repair/install/upgrade of utility systems across all 3 buildings (e.g., HVAC, boiler, chillers, electrical panels, dust collectors, control panels, power/signal wires, pumps, HMI controls, heat trace, water systems and treatment, PET/glycol systems, sprinklers, doors, heat exchangers, plumbing, etc.).
- Includes supporting manufacturing (e.g., providing water) and general housekeeping tasks (e.g., roof cleaning, replacing batteries/ceilings, bathroom clogs, painting, wall patching, general carpentry).
Scope of the Role
- Operate and troubleshoot facilities systems in compliance with applicable codes, state requirements, and Perrigo SOPs (30%).
- Rebuild/install, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on utility systems (30%).
- Complete general work orders and interface with other technicians across all shifts (30%).
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned (10%).
Experience Required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) OR 3 years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least 2 years of completed education in a related program from an accredited university/college.
- PLC background desirable.
- Microsoft Suite skills and CMMS experience (e.g., SAP) required; computer-based training navigation desirable.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Demonstrated attendance/ability to meet deadlines; willingness to work overtime (weekends/holidays required).
