Engineering Co-op (Future Talent Program) โ€” Process Engineering (Biologics/Vaccine, Animal Health)

Responsibilities
- Apply technical knowledge, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities in a team-based environment.
- Use strong communication and interpersonal skills; work both as a team player and independently.
- Develop leadership skills in areas such as diverse team building, vendor management, and process equipment development/design.
- Support a Biologics/Vaccine Project in Animal Health as a Process Engineer.
- Use an equipment life cycle approach: specification, selection, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, and qualification.
- Demonstrate analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Manage projects/time to deliver on-time, high-quality work.
- Ability to travel domestically; main base location: DeSoto, Kansas.

Education / Qualifications
- Junior or Senior year at an accredited college/university.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical) or equivalent discipline; no prior experience required.

Preferred Experience and Skills
- Interface with IPT members supporting Capital Project Delivery.
- Assess multiple options and select the leading approach.
- Knowledge of unit operation specification, P&ID development, Hazard Analysis, equipment operation, commissioning & qualification.
- Operate within cost and schedule constraints.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices/industry trends; may participate in professional/technical organizations.
- Ensure deliverables meet standards and are technically sound.
- Support technology transfers of new and in-line products.
- Collaborate with contractors/suppliers/team members; strong written and oral communication and problem-solving; desire to be innovative.
- Prior experience with capital equipment specification and installation.
- Prior intern/co-op experience in manufacturing or engineering (preferably Pharmaceutical).
