Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Set strategic direction for Vaccines R&D project management: best-in-class standards, governance frameworks, and AI/digital-enabled practices.
- Drive portfolio execution end-to-end against scope, schedule, cost, and quality; monitor pipeline health and ensure timely escalation/corrective action.
- Lead risk management and compliance across New Vaccine projects; proactive risk identification, lessons learned, and readiness for internal audits.
- Enable governance via transparent Stage Gate processes; act as TARC Secretary and liaison between Vaccine R&D and Corporate Portfolio Management.
- Lead and develop a global team (20+ total; 4 direct reports) fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and digital innovation.
- Oversee financial/resource planning and provide input to resources and cost forecasts; align R&D, Franchise, and Manufacturing & Supply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s required; master’s/PhD in Life Sciences/Medicine/Pharmacy/Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
- PMP or Agile (or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical R&D project/program management required.
- 3+ years people leadership required.
Key Skills/Abilities:
- End-to-end vaccine/pharma development value chain expertise.
- Leadership in complex global matrix environments.
- PM methodologies: PMBOK, Hybrid, Agile preferred.
- Risk management expertise; business/financial acumen.
- Experience with digital planning tools or AI/digital solution rollout.
- Up to 20% travel; English fluent (French preferred).
