Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on chemical process development using enzymes across high-throughput to preparative scales.
- Design, plan, and execute experiments to identify useful enzymatic transformations, improve enzyme variants, and develop enzyme-catalyzed chemical processes.
- Work with chemists and engineers to evaluate and implement enzymes in chemical reactions.
- Maintain safety and quality compliance and support laboratory operations.
- Communicate technical challenges and collaborate with colleagues to support lab operations.
Education Requirements:
- BS or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemical engineering from an accredited college/university by October 2026.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience safely performing lab research or process development in biocatalysis.
- Strong communication (in-person, writing, presentations).
- Strong organization, collaboration, and time management.
- Attention to detail; follow procedures/policies for safety, environmental, and GMP expectations and accurate notebook documentation.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Organic synthesis at the bench; analyze data; prepare reports/presentations.
- Process scale-up (high-throughput to preparative).
- Analytical techniques (LC-MS, NMR) and tools (e.g., Mettler Toledo EasyMax).
- Statistics for data analysis/experimental design (DOE) and process modeling (e.g., kinetics).
- Enzyme characterization and biocatalysis technology development.
