Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Set strategic direction for Vaccines R&D project management with best-in-class standards, governance frameworks, and AI/digital-enabled practices.
- Drive end-to-end portfolio execution (scope, schedule, cost, quality); monitor pipeline health and ensure timely escalation/corrective action.
- Lead risk management and compliance across New Vaccine projects; ensure proactive risk identification, robust lessons learned, and readiness for internal audits.
- Enable governance via transparent Stage Gate processes; act as TARC Secretary and liaison between Vaccine R&D and Corporate Portfolio Management.
- Lead and develop a global team of 15+ project managers; foster accountability, continuous improvement, and digital innovation.
- Oversee financial and resource planning; provide strategic input to resources and cost forecasts and ensure alignment across R&D, Franchise, and Manufacturing & Supply.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or PhD in Life Sciences/Medicine/Pharmacy/Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
- PMP or Agile (or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical R&D project/program management required.
- 3+ years people leadership experience required.
- Deep knowledge of end-to-end vaccine/pharma value chain (Research → Clinical → Industrialization → Registration → Launch).
Key Skills & Abilities:
- PM methodologies expertise (PMBOK; Hybrid/Agile preferred), proven risk management, business/financial acumen.
- Experience rolling out digital planning tools or AI/digital solutions.
- Strategic/tactical thinking, stakeholder management, change leadership, coaching, cross-functional agility.
- Up to 20% domestic/international travel.
Languages:
- English fluent (required); French fluent (preferred).
