VP, Scientific IT Business Partner

Role: The Vice President, Scientific IT Business Partner leads Madrigal’s Scientific IT strategy for R&D and TechOps, translating business needs into technology roadmaps and operational plans. Responsibilities: serve as senior IT partner for scientific functions, develop multi-year technology strategies, oversee the Scientific IT portfolio including clinical development, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain systems, and build internal IT capabilities. Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT investments with scientific goals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field; 20+ years in IT leadership within biotech/pharma, with experience in regulated environments and cross-functional technology portfolios. Preferred: advanced degree (MBA, MS), expertise in GxP validation, and experience supporting R&D and TechOps in mid-sized biotech settings.
