Role: Vice President, Global Medical Affairs, leading Zai Lab's global oncology and immunology medical strategy, primarily in the US and outside China. Responsibilities include defining medical priorities, establishing scientific leadership, overseeing evidence generation, and engaging external stakeholders such as KOLs, patient advocates, and scientific societies. The role involves developing pre-launch and launch strategies, supporting regulatory interactions, and ensuring compliant, high-quality medical communications. Building and managing a high-performing global Medical Affairs team, coordinating cross-region activities, and overseeing budgets and vendor relationships are key functions. Requirements: MD with 12+ years in biopharma medical affairs, with preferred experience in oncology or hematology, especially in precision oncology, ADCs, or IO. Proven track record in building global or US-specific medical teams, pre-launch and launch support, evidence generation, and cross-functional collaboration. High-value biopharma specifics include focus on oncology (SCLC, lung cancers, neuroendocrine), early to mid-stage clinical development, and engagement with global regulatory and commercial teams. The position reports to senior leadership and involves up to 25% travel. The role is based in South San Francisco, CA.
