Virtual Access Specialist

Role: Virtual Access Specialist providing remote education and support on patient access and reimbursement for healthcare providers. Objectives: enhance patient experience by addressing payer and coverage barriers, educating providers on access programs, and navigating reimbursement processes. Responsibilities: educate HCPs on patient support programs using approved tools; serve as a subject matter expert on payer policies; develop relationships with providers; coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, market access, patient services); report payer trends; drive process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, or related field; 3-5 years in payer account management or reimbursement; strong knowledge of payer policies, coverage criteria, coding, prior authorization, and appeals; excellent communication skills for cross-matrix collaboration.
