Director of Performance (IC) and Engagement (US Headquarters, Durham, NC RTP Area) β eligible for domestic relocation.
Performance Responsibilities
- Own and lead Incentive Compensation (IC) process with 2 direct reports and an external vendor.
- Design and recommend IC plans (annual programs, contests, awards) for the HIV unit; ensure they are motivational, compliant, equitable, and aligned with leadership objectives.
- Develop and deliver IC calendars and SOPs/KPIs/BSFs; manage execution, scorecards, and payout deliverables with minimal discrepancies.
- Lead IC training for business units and field sales teams (plans, data sources, business rules, scorecards).
- Partner with field operations on territory designs, workload calculations, targeting, and call planning.
- Partner with Data Management/IT to ensure timely customer data loading, targeting refreshes, and supplier data integration.
- Lead cross-functional performance improvement initiatives; develop IC risk-mitigation and governance; ensure compliance monitoring.
- Build/maintain incentive programs; manage vendor relationships; communicate progress and collect SF feedback; automate data/reporting.
- Define special incentives; optimize training overlap; partner with Area Sales Leaders and Market Development Directors.
Engagement Responsibilities
- Build trust and empathy with the sales force; be present in the field.
- Lead initiatives to embed ViiV culture; create an orderly SF engagement/communication process.
- Ensure fairness and transparency in the IC process and decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree and 2+ years pharma experience.
- Experience managing incentive compensation; US sales data/source experience.
- Leadership in matrix organizations; communicating to different audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or similar; 2+ years pharma sales; injectables and/or HIV experience.
- First Line Sales Leader experience; independent/proactive; marketing; managing teams.
- Consulting; customer engagement/customer service/training; data sciences education.
Skills
