Position Summary
The Vice President - Strategic Accounts advances Caris Life Sciencesโ enterprise precision medicine strategy by building, expanding, and sustaining system-level partnerships across surgery, pathology, and oncology. Owns executive relationships and drives enterprise adoption of Caris molecular diagnostics and precision oncology solutions. Serves as a strategic operator and project leader (indirect leader; no direct people management).
Job Responsibilities
- Own and manage executive-level relationships (CEOs/CMOs/COOs/CFOs, Cancer Center Directors, lab leadership, administrators).
- Develop and maintain enterprise account strategies across surgical workflows, pathology operations, and oncology care delivery.
- Integrate molecular profiling and precision oncology solutions into clinical pathways and system-wide protocols.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) on performance, utilization, outcomes, and growth initiatives.
- Analyze account/regional data to identify growth opportunities and adoption barriers.
- Partner with Regional Business Directors; align enterprise priorities with regional planning and execution.
- Provide indirect leadership/mentorship to field roles (Oncology Account Executives, Oncology Case Managers).
- Serve as primary project owner for initiatives (account onboarding, program launches, workflow optimization, EMR integrations).
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Client Services, Laboratory, Medical Affairs, IT, and Marketing.
- Define scope/timelines/deliverables/success metrics; track progress using CRM and PM tools.
- Support complex deal strategy and value positioning.
- Act as senior escalation point; ensure alignment of customer expectations and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in life sciences, business, or related field.
- 5โ7+ years in strategic account management/oncology diagnostics/precision medicine/complex healthcare sales.
- Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics, NGS, oncology workflows, and pathology/lab operations.
- Proven growth in complex, matrixed environments; influence without direct authority.
- CRM (e.g., Salesforce), reporting tools, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to complete pre-employment processes (background check, drug screening, reference check).
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/advanced degree; PMP or formal PM training.
- Enterprise/health-system partnership experience; relationships in academic medical centers/IDNs.
- Strong analytical, organizational, executive communication skills.
