Role Summary
Vice President, Market Access, Patient Services, Trade & Distribution. Based in Ewing, New Jersey. Lead the development and execution of commercial and government market access strategy and trade relations to improve patient access and affordability for Halozyme products, drive profitability, and optimize channel, trade, and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of market access and trade relations professionals across Market Access, Payers, Patient Support Services, Pricing, Trade Relations and Corporate Accounts.
- Develop and execute managed market strategic and tactical plans; create a comprehensive annual business plan to support the portfolio.
- Identify opportunities and refine strategies for managed markets customers, physicians, and patient initiatives to drive access and favorable reimbursement.
- Recommend optimal formulary positioning and increase market share through collaboration with field sales and brand marketing.
- Provide pricing guidance, contract strategies, G2N analyses, and business development input; perform ad hoc modeling and budget impact analyses with marketing and finance.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy in Government Price Reporting.
- Advise the Chief Commercial Officer on product strategies and messages; lead Pricing Committee.
- Develop and manage the department budget aligned with portfolio and corporate objectives.
- Develop channel tools, resources, and communications; create programs to improve patient access across channels.
- Establish reporting procedures to measure ROI of channel marketing investments and present results to the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Lead relationships with specialty pharmacies and ensure compliance with MDRP and Federal Government Price Reporting and contracts.
- Support clinical development and business development with pricing, reimbursement, and payer landscape insights.
- Negotiate and implement strategic contracts with Corporate Accounts; manage state licensing and monitor trends affecting Halozyme operations.
- Develop relationships with wholesalers, GPOs, IDNs, 3PLs, and retail/specialty pharmacies with a focus on collaboration and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree; 20+ years of experience leading Managed Markets, Patient Support Services, and Trade Relations in the pharmaceutical industry (equivalent experience considered).
- Strong relationships with MCOs, PBMs, and other customer channels.
- Product marketing launch experience focused on managed markets, access, and reimbursement.
- Extensive experience with specialty pharmacies.
- Experience in Urology, Endocrinology, and Primary Care marketplaces preferred.
- Leadership experience overseeing Managed Care Account Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and third-party contract organizations.
- Strong financial acumen.
- MBA preferred.
