Role Summary
The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Manager - Immunology Gastroenterology leads and coaches a regional team of Field Access Specialists to educate HCPs on patient experience programs, focusing on access and reimbursement support. The role ensures effective engagement with customers on coverage, coding, payment, product acquisition, and affordability dynamics within the local geography; includes field rides, quality control, and cross-functional collaboration with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and Access and Reimbursement hub.
Responsibilities
- Ensure team compliance with the appropriate ways of working
- Assist in implementing patient services access resources and programs into area execution, including identifying training needs and coordinating in-field and National/Regional meetings
- Work with peers in Market Access and Trade to understand the changing Healthcare Landscape and communicate appropriate information to the FAS team
- Communicate patient services and access program information to sales teams in a compliant way
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor call activity and capacity
- Develop, implement and execute effective skill development plans for direct reports; provide coaching via field travel and meetings to optimize HCP access support
- Develop, monitor and advance development planning processes with direct reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access in neuroscience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, Field Reimbursement Manager or equivalent role
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading field teams, coaching, and personnel development
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience required
- Thorough understanding of payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage, coding and payment for specialty medicines
- Understanding of rules, regulations, and risks related to reimbursement support services; deep knowledge of coverage, coding, payment and distribution of specialty products
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in Neuroscience (Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, white-bagging, etc.)
- Track record of strong leadership contributions
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company car/truck or related equipment; valid driverβs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; eligible to obtain these credentials
- HCIR requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses; candidate is responsible for meeting all HCIR requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
