Vice President, Legal Operations

Role: Vice President, Legal Operations, overseeing legal functions including contracting, strategic transactions, and compliance to support Amylyx's growth in biotech areas like post-bariatric hypoglycemia, Wolfram syndrome, and ALS. Responsibilities: lead and optimize contracting processes, structure and negotiate licensing, M&A, and strategic deals, and support organizational transformation using technology such as AI; partner with executive leadership to align legal strategy with business goals; develop best practices in legal operations, including matter management and outside counsel oversight; and collaborate cross-functionally to manage risk and enable growth. Requirements: JD from an accredited law school, active bar membership, 12+ years in healthcare or biotech legal environment with specific expertise in organizational legal operations and complex transactional negotiations; leadership experience in fast-growing biotech settings; strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: experience with SEC filings, capital markets, and SOX compliance.
