Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer a global corporate ethics and healthcare compliance program; partner with commercial, medical, and market access teams to support the compliant U.S. launch of the first commercial product.
- Design, develop, and operationalize the compliance program (policy development, training, risk assessment, transparency reporting, compliance monitoring, training documentation systems).
- Drive a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making through the transition from research to commercial.
- Create and execute a risk-based monitoring and auditing plan; conduct field monitoring (including field rides) and attend promotional/educational/congress events.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify, mitigate, and guide compliant business practices; empower employees to adopt a compliance mindset.
- Develop and deliver engaging, interactive compliance training for commercial, medical, and other teams.
- Serve as SME for healthcare fraud and abuse laws and industry guidance (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Federal Sunshine Act, PhRMA Code).
- Collaborate with Commercial Law and Healthcare Compliance, and cross-functional teams, to investigate and resolve complex ethics/compliance matters; support investigations as appropriate.
- Extend compliance framework for ex-US commercial and precommercial activities (including ABAC; interactions with HCPs/HCOs).

Qualifications & Skills:
- BA/BS required; JD/MSJ or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years’ global biopharma compliance experience in operational and business partnering roles; cell/gene therapy or rare disease experience preferred.
- Experience creating/right-sizing compliance programs; prior experience through initial commercial launch highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines in a fast-paced environment with strong quality/detail.
- Independent, hands-on approach in small-company settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Familiarity with EU/EFPIA compliance requirements.
- Professional ethics; ability to handle confidential/sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Travel up to 10–25%.

Work setup:
- Hybrid; onsite in Lexington, MA 3 days/week; occasional travel to Amsterdam and Basel.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $309,000 to $399,000.
