Role Summary

Vice President, Global Supply & Operations – Lead strategy and execution for global commercial and clinical supply, manage manufacturing, supply chain, and external partnerships to support growth while ensuring quality and compliance. Hybrid role with preference for NJ office, travel as needed.

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, responsible for guiding a team of manufacturing, technical, and supply chain professionals, and overseeing External Partnerships and Network Management, Procurement/Contracting, Cost Optimization, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global supply operations, including clinical and commercial manufacturing supply, external manufacturing, supply chain and partner management
  • Coach and develop the team to achieve a high-performance, quality and safety focused biotech GMP manufacturing culture
  • Own global strategic supply relationships with commercial partners; collaborate with Alliance Management to implement integrated external collaborations to ensure uninterrupted supply
  • Oversee the global network of CMDOs; work with Tech Ops to improve internal and external partnering with CMOs to reduce lead time and costs while maintaining supply during growth
  • Partner with Quality to ensure routine supply, continuous improvement, lean practices, investigations, change controls, and vendor management
  • Foster a culture of Quality First and Right First Time; ensure transparency and collaboration between Quality, Operations, and external partners
  • Own budget and procurement for the Supply Organization; drive cost savings, contract optimization, and standardization across the network
  • Collaborate with Regulatory to author regulatory/technical documents for submissions and act as SME in regulatory interactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS or BSE in engineering, science, or related field plus 20 years of pharma/biotech experience, or advanced degree with 15 years
  • Proven GMP operations, supply chain and/or technical operations experience; preference for biologics and chemistry-based backgrounds
  • Strong leadership, strategy development/implementation, and change management for pharma/biotech supply
  • Experience managing external CDMO relationships and delivering to multiple downstream customers
  • Diverse background in External Manufacturing, Supply Chain, S&OP, MRP, and strategic procurement
  • Regulatory filings, change control, regulatory audits, and partner audits experience
  • Track record of operational excellence and lean/six sigma approaches
  • Growth mindset and ability to build new capabilities with a talented team
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to ~25%
