Role Summary
2026 Packaging Co-Op (July - Dec) at AbbVie. Paid six-month program in Packaging Engineering offering development, networking, and hands-on assignments impacting the business and patients worldwide. Co-ops work from the North Chicago campus at least three days per week and may have housing and shuttle services for eligible students.
Responsibilities
- Packaging development and testing for new projects
- Test protocol and test execution
- Material identification, selection, and specifications
- Data mining for standardization opportunities
- Sustainability and packaging improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Required: Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Packaging or related field
- Required: Must be returning to university the semester following your Co-Op
- Required: Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills
- Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong academic performance, GPA 3.0/4.0
Education
- Bachelor’s in Packaging or related field (pursuing)
