Role: Vice President, Global Privacy at a biopharma company developing targeted RAS inhibitors for oncology, including G12C, G12D, G12V variants. Primary objectives: lead global privacy strategy, governance, and compliance to support clinical development and commercialization. Responsibilities: develop and execute privacy programs aligned with international laws (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA), advise senior leadership on privacy risks, oversee incident response, manage third-party data agreements, and embed privacy-by-design across functions. Collaborate with R&D, clinical, legal, IT, and commercial teams; serve as primary contact for regulators and external audits. Requirements: JD or equivalent, 18+ years in privacy/data protection with senior leadership experience; strong knowledge of global privacy laws, cross-border data transfers, and risk management; privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM). Preferred: experience in regulated biotech, pharma, healthcare, or tech sectors; familiarity with AI/ML governance and digital health data. High-value: global privacy leadership, clinical and digital data governance, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and cross-functional influence in a late-stage clinical oncology setting. Work setup: likely hybrid or onsite at Redwood City headquarters; travel as needed.
